Since 1991, Boston Bead Company retail stores have been offering an ever-changing selection of the finest beads, semi-precious gemstones, pearls, seed beads, glass, and natural beads as well as jewelry-making findings and components in every material, tools, books, and ready-made jewelry and accessories. In addition to being well established retail bead store destinations we offer a complete range of services including beading classes, jewelry-making parties for all ages, jewelry repair services, and private classes and design consultations.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always available to assist our customers with their jewelry-making needs. We offer our customers simple jewelry finishing for a small fee and free in-store demonstrations and use of our tools and our work space.

Return & Exchange Policy

In order to offer an ever-changing selection of products we are not able to accept returns. Yet in an effort to accommodate our customers needs we will happily accept exchanges within seven days, with an original itemized receipt. Certain items including accessories, ready-made jewelry and books are always a final sale and may not be exchanged. We are unable to make any exceptions to these policies.

We are pleased to offer electronic Gift Cards. Our Gift Cards may be purchased in our stores or online. Our Gift Cards may only be redeemed in our Cambridge and Salem stores only. Gift Cards purchased online are available in $25, $50, $75 and $100 amounts. Gift Cards purchased in our stores are available in any denomination.

Jewelry Repairs
Stringing & Knotting

Our Cambridge and Salem stores are pleased to accept most stringing and knotting repairs. By definition a repair is the exact reconstruction of an existing, broken or worn-out piece of jewelry. We don't do custom work but we would love to teach you how to create somthing new from your broken or worn-out piece of jewelry and how to make it yourself. We also do not accept repairs that require soldering. A reputable jeweler in your area is always your best resource for soldering repairs.

Private Classes and Design Consultations

We are pleased to offer Private Appointments by advanced reservation. These appointments are for anyone who would like one-on-one assistance shopping, designing or constructing their beaded jewelry, or for anyone interested in one-on-one instruction with any jewelry making technique that uses beads.

Cost: $45 per hour - one hour minimum/two hour maximum
