"Just Bead It!

Instead of buying a souvenir T-shirt to remember your trip, create something you'll actually wear, like a pendant necklace or a silver bracelet. These 10 bead shops host private parties that make for a great afternoon or evening out-just be sure to reserve in advance."

SHOPPING TIP
OF THE DAY

The bead goes on
To riff on the Gloved One, just bead it. At Beadworks, you can select your beads, design a pattern, and make your own earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Bead strands at BeadworksGlass, silver, crystal, enamel, and wooden beads come in a variety of colors, and most are pretty inexpensive, ranging from 5 cents to $2.

Findings (wires, clasps, etc.) cost anywhere between 5 cents and $5.
