Wire gauge is a measurement of
how large a wire is in diameter.
Wire gauge is created by the
number of times a wire is pulled through a draw plate or die
to reduce a wire down to a particular diameter. This chart shows
both the inch and millimeter diameter associated with common
wire gauges used in jewelry making.
